Studying at the boarding-school

The school has five boarding houses, idyllically situated at the edge of the forest on the outskirts of Annweiler and with a view of the Imperial Castle Trifels.
Each house is equipped with single and double rooms, as well as dayrooms and common rooms, a small kitchen, showers, WCs and the house-master’s apartment.

Homework assignments are dealt with either in groups with subject teacher support, or independently under the supervision of housemasters and study assistants. Additional support according to individual needs is offered free of charge. Private fee-paying tuition in practically all subjects is also available.

Students are offered a wide range of leisure activities in the fields of culture, sport, music, hobbies and computer.

Study periods in the boarding houses

We aim to encourage our pupils to acquire a responsible attitude to concentrating on their school work.

Main study hours:
Monday to Thursday, 16.00 to 17.45

Classes 5 to 7:
Homework in groups (max. 10 pupils) under the supervision of a member of the teaching staff

Classes 8 to 11:
Study period in own rooms at prescribed times with the support of housemaster/mistress and a studies assistant

Senior classes:
Students work in their rooms at individually agreed times. Subject teachers are on hand.

Study periods can be extended to include weekly learning programmes, private tuition, one-on-one schooling or other support measures.

Evening study:
From Monday to Thursday, 19.30 until 20.15
